We will have an extra special treat at The Dog and Oyster Vineyard this weekend, April 23rd and 24th! Besides being the Chesapeake Bay Wine Trail’s 4th Annual Spring Oyster Crawl, having several different amazing oyster dishes to choose from, courtesy of Byrd’s Seafood Co, and not to forget, the fabulous wines of The Dog and Oyster, we will be featuring a local waterman and artist, Lisa Rose! This weekend only,  she will have her unique photography on display at the vineyard! So come, drink some wine, eat some oysters, and support our local talent!

2016 Chesapeake Bay Wine Trail Spring Oyster Crawl

Join us the weekend, April 23-24th, for The 4th Annual Chesapeake Bay Wine Trail’s Spring Oyster Crawl!! Our menu at The Dog and Oyster will include the famous Fried Oyster Tacos, Raw Oysters served with a champagne vinegar mignonette, and Roasted Oysters topped with either a jalapeno pesto or basil pesto! Don’t miss it!!

Taste Of Spring Event

Join us this Saturday, April 16th from 11am-5pm at the Tides Inn located in Irvington, Virginia! Enjoy tasting four of our palate pleasing wines! Find us on the lawn right next to our culinary partner, Byrd’s Seafood Co!! Pair the Dog and Oyster’s wines with the famous Fried Oyster Tacos from Byrd’s Seafood Co! A perfect match!!

Bud Break Frost

Mother Nature this morning was not too kind to most vineyards in Virginia; and, our vineyard was not the exception. FROST! Mark was out in the dark of the morning fighting the frost with fire – 2 bonfires for heat and air flow. Bud break – is a double entendre this year.
