Ready For A Fantastic Season!!

WE APOLOGIZE for last weekend and WE ARE READY for you this weekend!

As we approach the official opening of our season – this Friday April 1, we must offer an apology to some of our guests from this past weekend. Saturday’s Easter visitors were beyond our wildest dreams; and, we were a bit unprepared. Though standing is the custom in the vast majority of vineyards, we offer seating outside; and, we just had too few seats for so many.

We are ready this weekend! We have NEW chairs, tables and umbrellas – so bring it on! Come see us and experience the “perfect pairing” – local oysters and local wine – specifically Dog and Oyster (Irvington) wine with Byrd’s Seafood’s Skipjacks from Windmill Point Oyster(White Stone) and W. E. Kellum’s wild caught from the Rappahannock.

The Dog and Oyster Vineyard is now open for tastings seven days – every day. Oysters are offered on Friday afternoons 2-5pm and all day Saturday and Sunday 12-5pm

Fried Oyster Tacos Are Back! Saturday, March 26 Only From 1PM- 5PM

We know you just can’t wait until Byrd’s Seafood Co officially starts the season at The Dog and Oyster on April 1st, so to satisfy your craving come join us this Saturday, March 26th only from 1pm-5pm! Bryan Byrd will be here serving up the now famous Fried Oyster Tacos paired perfectly with our Oyster White (Chardonel) or our Pearl (Vidal Blanc).

New March Hours

We will be starting our new spring hours on Monday, March 14th! The vineyard will now be open Thursday through Monday from 11AM-5PM! Come see the giant corkscrews, meet our friendly rescue dogs that keep the vineyard safe, and of course, enjoy some of our unique, exceptional wine!

Oysters At The Vineyard Saturday, March 12th From 12PM-5PM

Join us on Saturday, March 12th to enjoy some fresh, local oysters, provided by Byrd’s Seafood Co, paired with our Award-Winning, exceptional wines! Experience this perfect Terroir meets Merroir combination and see what the Dog and Oyster is all about!


Byrd’s Seafood Co will be at the vineyard Sat. March 12th from 12PM-5PM.
